I view competition the same way. Thanks for sharing this DHH.

Those who say “life is a competition and that’s how it works” are mostly the ones in love of competing or participating in competitions. I respect their worldviews though. If that makes them happy, if that makes them tick, so be it. :)

But I’m one of the guys who don’t feel happy competing. I can be a winner but not in “competing against my fellow human being.” My own definition of a winner is when I did something valuable for people. Not the guy who turns down an opponent.

Anyway, that’s just my own programming. Not for everyone of course.
